    If either of these Women knew much about menopause they wouldn’t talk so casually about it. 80% of women have moderate to severe symptoms. How will you exercise when your joints are killing you? And you only sleep a couple of hours a night? Seriously? You’re talking about women who might only have mild symptoms but what about the majority of us? We’re struggling. And you don’t go “through” menopause. Once you’re done with the transition - hellish or mild - you’re left with a body totally depleted of hormones. Whereas the guys only have a steady slow decline. Try being in the middle of making a point and your brain stops. As a woman you instantly lose credibility, not to mention self esteem. I never knew much about menopause and definitely didn’t expect anything bad at all. So my mindset was great. I always ate well, I love fruits and veggies. I loved hiking and going to the gym. Have a loving family. Until one week my whole life as I knew it changed. I all over sudden couldn’t sleep more than 3 or 4 hours. My brain totally stopped working. My whole Body hurt. I gained ten pounds in one month. I thought I had some serious disease and went to a half dozen docs. It took several weeks until I was diagnosed. And on the road to being diagnosed I had to endure all the crappy comments from you have to eat less to mediate blah blah. As if I had brought this on myself. Thankfully I have a husband who saw what was happening to me. He supported me and saw all the gaslighting going on at the docs offices. You assume we’re all thinking about menopause. We don’t. We just live our lives. Some women never feel much. Maybe they’ll get mean or depressed. But the rest of us has to change jobs or give up working all together. Or even go on disability. Because that’s what it turns out to be for many of us, disability. Depending on what study you read the population in nursing homes is about 80% women. Due to fragility and brain issues. Women age abiut 20% faster than men. Just look at men and women of the same age side by side. Unless the woman undergoes all sorts of treatments or procedures. She will look a lot older than men of the same age. And talking about men. The reason women don’t give a f anymore after menopause is because now they have comparatively a lot of testosterone and no or little estrogen. We sort of turn into men who generally never gave much a f to begin with lol. Anyway I think we’re doing women a great disfavor by withholding very important. Information. At least you mentioned hormone replacement at the end. On a practical note, if you join any meno groups on FB you will see that the second wave of sufferers join in their early sixties. They might’ve sailed through peri but because we age so much faster they’ll eventual look for help. While all along the men in their 50s and 60s still enjoy their careers gains and lives for the most part. I have two brothers and a husband in my life. None of them experience anything even close to what I’ve been through. Yes it’s interesting about what the female brain goes through but out society as a whole doesn’t give a f. We need solutions to keep our brains going. That’s the bottom line. And that’s probably hrt and if you want to have a long career and working life.

    I stopped listening to the conventional male doctors when they negated my requests for specific tests i needed, so I paid for them on my own, and then became my own doctor and healed myself from 2 chronic conditions using plant medicine and other holistic modalities. We women need to educate and stand up for ourselves and stop listening to 99% of male doctors who know almost nothing about women's health issues. thank you Marie for this podcast, please bring more women doctors, scientists and experts on your show to shed some light in women's health and issues,

    Well, I am not exactly drinking Soda to be healthy. I will take the sugar one, because I want and I can and I am fully aware it is unhealthy. But it is okay to do unhealthy things. Live a good life. And living a life of avoiding like the devil anything that's bad for you, well that seems a bit tedious. Occasionally it's fine to indulge a bit.

    The "real sugar" in regular soda isn't real. Its sugar in the form of high fructose corn syrup, an engineered sweetener derived from true sugar. Cane sugar, which was used in the old days, is more natural but less sweet. I hardly ever drink regular pop, but if I do, Iprefer the ones bottled in Mexico because they contain actual sugar. Soda is just bad for you overall if consumed too much.

    Drink water and have the occasional Coke Zero, the negative effects of these sweeteners will only be harmful if you drink lots of it so don’t be paranoid next time you want to grab one out the fridge 👍

    Breakfast comes from "break" + "fast". So doesn't necessarily mean in the morning or start of the day. It means after fasting this is your meal to break your fasting.

    They wasted the short on the wrong information that was suppose to fit the title of the video. They spent most of the video talking about glucose spikes and the only "change" was a single sentence that barely made it in at the end which was "a sweet breakfast to a savoury breakfast". They should spend the time to create a short specifically for this message and use at least 50% of the video time explaining what savoury means and give examples. Then, the short video would fit the title and achieve the goal it was meant to achieve.
